School dinners for Infant children are £2.00 per day (£10.00 for the week). This is to be sent into school on MONDAY of each week in an envelope showing your child’s name and the days on which he or she will be having school dinners. This may be brought in as cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Monmouthshire County Council. Please put your name and address on any cheques sent into school.
Any parents wishing to apply for free school meals for their child/children should please contact the Access Unit at Monmouthshire County Council on 01633 644508.
Could parents please ensure that all items of school uniform are clearly marked with your child’s name, this includes all P.E. items, bags, coats, fleeces etc – otherwise we cannot help to find items if they get lost.
Please could we have P.E. kits (T-shirt, shorts and daps) into school on Monday next week in a suitable P.E. bag. P.E. sessions are on Friday mornings
We provide snacks for morning break which is payable in cash at £1.20 every Monday morning. Alternatively you can pay £8.40 for the rest of this half term or £16.80 for the whole term up to Christmas. This should be cash only please.
The snacks include a selection of seasonal fresh fruit and dried fruit and we also provide squash, milkshake, plain milk or water. The money also pays for hot drinking chocolate in colder weather, marshmallows for toasting and popcorn during Forest School activities (Tuesdays/Wednesdays – weather dependent).
Please always send your child in with a coat as we go outside in all weathers. It can get very chilly in our Woodland area so as the weather changes the children will need scarves, gloves and warm clothes.
Please could we have a pair of wellies to keep in school for Forest School sessions and outdoor play.
This half term is spent assessing the children and their needs ready to move them on with their learning after the half term break when we will commence with our topic work. The themes will include Happiness, Mrs Wishy-washy, Elmer, Autumn, Harvest, Bonfire night and Christmas.
